Rube Goldberg Competition Winners and others!
The Dominoes Effect!!
Other Chain Reactions!
Stick Bombs!
Objective: To Open an Umbrella or Flip a sign with your team number on it
Students were divided into teams of three
Task: Each person (independently) within a team will construct 3 chain reactions at home with help! The week of Nov. 9 - 13 students are to bring their 3 chain reactions finished (put together) and ready to connect to their other 2 team members. This will give each team 9 chain reactions for their Rube Goldberg Machine.
Also notice on the videos for each ball and/or lever used it’s a different chain reaction. If the students are using dominoes they will need to set them up in the classroom, but everything else is needing to be done at home. I only have 45 minutes of class time for them to come in and set up their pre-made machines and get them connect to the other team members machines. Then we have to fine-tune the reaction so that I can video. I wish there was an empty classroom to use but there is not.
Students have already turned in their drawing of their chain reaction, and have had 2 brainstorm sessions with their team members. The students have all of their drawings back.
